The battle of Consciousness

For those who are knew to ToK, here is a quick run down. Theory of knowledge is not only a new lens through which to veiw the world, it is also one of the hardest things for most people to do and understand. This is the case mostly because ToK requires that you think about the way you think. Analyzise what you know and how you know. Determine if what you know is truely valid, and why.  Imagen what the class is like if the rundown of the absolute basics is a hefty paragraph.

Within the many domains of ToK, there are a particular few which seem the most important, at least in my opinion. These are the areas of knowledge and the ways of knowing. The areas of knowledge include the following; mathmatics, ethics, history, human sciences, religous knowledge systems, natuarl sciences, indigenous knowledge systems, and the arts. Each of these includes different interpertations on the same thing. What is perhapes even harder than trying to see something from every possible angle, is determining if the angles you view the world from are valid or not.

But with the capability to think this way, we have a responsibility. We are supposed to use our consciousness to better the world, to help those around us. And that is the battle of concsiousness, to keep ourselves in the right and keep damages due to unforseen side effects to a minium.
